FAQ
Any more questions? Here you can find our FAQs, where we answer the most frequently asked questions about myRacket General, fitting at myRacket, workshop/repairs and delivery/shipping in detail.
GENERAL
What distinguishes myRacket from other manufacturers?
A lot! Traditional racket manufacturers produce predefined rackets and stock them. In contrast, we produce racket blanks and then tune them individually for each player.
There are racket recommendations on the market in various versions and forms. However, they are not brand-independent and only provide recommendations for certain, existing racket models. In contrast, we define the racket parameters individually for each player.
That's why every myRacket is tested and adjusted in Germany and is unique!
We promise the highest material quality and achieve tolerances that are up to ~10x lower than conventional brands. If you order multiple myRackets, they will differ from each other by a maximum of +/- 0.6 grams - compared to conventional manufacturers, who often have tolerances of +/- 9 grams.

How important are tolerances in tennis rackets and how does myRacket deal with them?
Technically speaking, tolerance is the deviation from the nominal dimension and is a dimension determined by design and manufacturing.
Tolerances indicate the possible deviation from the officially specified standard values.
When playing with multiple clubs, the differences between the clubs must be very small so that you can reproduce your shots regardless of which club you are holding.
A concrete example: conventional racket manufacturers specify tolerances of +/- 9 grams when specifying weight. This means that two rackets of the same type can have a weight difference of 18 grams, e.g. 282 g versus 300 g. This can feel like two completely different rackets! (plus tolerances in the other parameters...)

How much better will my game be with a myRacket?
Frankly, it is difficult to objectively quantify in advance how much your game will improve, but it is clear that by optimally designing your racket parameters, you can accentuate the strengths of your game and mitigate the weaknesses.
We have started tracking the players who play with myRacket rackets and will publish statistics shortly. Interesting to know: Statistically speaking, often only a few points in a match decide between victory and defeat. For example, in professional tournaments, in 54% of all matches the player who scores 55% or less (!) of all points wins.

How does a tennis racket affect my game?
The racket is the "extended hand" in tennis and affects a variety of properties. Ultimately, this affects the speed of the ball, ball control, the reduction of mishits, the touch and feel when hitting, the generation of spin and trajectory, and the load on the body, especially the arm and shoulder.
FITTINGS
What is a fitting?
In tennis, fitting means the design of the racket parameters for the respective player. This is done by analyzing the player (i.e. his playing style, his movements and his body characteristics) and the subsequent production or tuning of the racket. You can find more information on our "Fitting" page on the homepage.
How does a fitting work?
To determine the optimal parameter configuration, we proceed in three steps. We can then manufacture your racket according to these parameters in our in-house workshop. You can find more information on our "Fitting" page on the homepage.
Can I test a racket before I decide?
Yes, the quickest way is to opt for a personal fitting, where you have the opportunity to test several different club specifications and find your optimal design together with us.
Why can't I test rackets in advance like in other sports shops?
In general, we are not fans of the so-called “racket testing” that is common in many sports shops.
Why? In order to test rackets effectively, the test conditions for the different tests must be the same (e.g. same string, same overgrip, same balls, same weather conditions, etc.).
In addition, the exact specifications of the rackets must be known. All test rackets are subject to production tolerances. Therefore, the test specifications differ from the rackets actually purchased!
Finally, when testing multiple rackets, it is not possible to test individual parameters against each other. You will always test a combination of different parameters.

Who should do a fitting?
In short, all players benefit from an individually adapted racket: All those who want objective, data-based and brand-independent advice on the perfect racket parameters. Beginners, club and tournament players who want to specifically promote their own strengths and eliminate weaknesses. And of course all players who want several identical rackets without large tolerances between the individual rackets.
Where do the relevant events take place and how can I participate?
The fitting events take place 3-4 times a month around our locations in Frankfurt, Munich and some promotional locations. Sign up for our newsletter to be informed about the next fitting events! We also offer individual appointments - just get in touch with us!
What is the difference between fitting and fitting day?
A fitting day is a day on which we carry out several fittings one after the other, often as part of a club event.
During the “On-court Fitting” we will arrange an appointment with you personally and go through the debriefing with you immediately afterwards.
The result of the evaluation does not differ. You receive the perfect configuration tailored to you!

Do you ship rackets unstrung or ready to play?
Our rackets are delivered unstrung, and for good reason. Our core competency is fitting and tuning rackets - this is where we put all our energy. Stringing is a standard procedure that can be carried out without any problems by players, coaches or sports shops.
However, we do offer a stringing service - you can simply order this in the shop together with your racket order.
