Functionality of the MID SOX
The Mid Sox is designed in two colors and has a number of features. The top of the sock is slightly thinner than the bottom, which provides a little more cushioning for the arch of the foot. Thanks to the compression, the sock sits tightly on the foot, but still feels soft and doesn't get uncomfortably hot. This is due to the material, which is more functional than classic (organic) cotton: Thanks to polyamide - another name is nylon - and the addition of extremely stretchy elastane (also known under the brand names Lycra and Spandex), the MID SOX is very tear-resistant and keeps its shape, but still remains sweat-absorbent and absorbs unpleasant odors (yes, socks can definitely have those) less than cotton.
And one more small thing: We deliberately do not use the R and L designations on our socks, as no anatomically designed socks are made for a right or left foot. Too often when wearing sports socks we have only noticed after putting them on that the letter is on the "wrong" side. In terms of comfort, this does not matter, but it does look a bit funny. That is why we leave out the right-left designation on our socks.

How does compression work?
Compression comes from Latin and can be translated as "squeezing" or "hug". From a sports medicine perspective, it's about promoting blood circulation: the relatively tight fit of the MID SOX increases the mechanical pressure on the veins in the foot and ankle, which increases the removal of oxygen-poor blood. The result is that the blood circulates a little faster in the body and can therefore lead to an increase in performance. In addition, our MID SOX has a stabilizing effect that ensures greater safety and protects the joints during sport by the few percentage points that are sometimes crucial.

We mainly use polyamide fibres made from recycled plastic bottles.

Our socks are certified with the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and Global Recycled Standard.
